Tasty can be healthy too is the mantra by which Eat Good Food, a cafe by nutritionist and t2 columnist Hena Nafis, runs. The Ballygunge cafe unveiled its new menu last month with a chat on health and food over a selection of recently introduced dishes for munch. Bengali’s love for food and how a new healthy menu can benefit a more health-conscious generation was the talk of the table. “We simplified the menu so that it’s easier for customers to choose from. We have taken some regular dishes and given them a healthy twist,” said Hena. Loyalists need not worry, the popular dishes from the previous menu have been retained.
Grilled Fish: Grilled fillet of basa is topped with cream cheese sauce and served with sauteed asparagus, zucchini and bell peppers. Rs 400
Fresh Fruit Pizza: This dessert is made on a whole wheat thin-crust base that comes topped with seasonal fruits. Rs 225
Brownie Tree: Made with 70 per cent dark chocolate, this pretty brownie not only looks good on the table but can also make any dessert-lover go wow with its strawberry sauce filling.
