Jet Airways cancelled at least 14 flights to different destinations on Sunday after some pilots allegedly reported “sick” in protest against non-payment of dues, a source said.
The loss-making private airline has been defaulting on payment of salaries to its senior management, pilots and engineers for several months. Partial payment has been made for September.
Jet said in a statement flights were cancelled because of an “unforeseen operational circumstance, and not pilot non-cooperation”, but did not give the number.
