Application Fees for JEE Advanced 2024 Increases; Exam Details Released - Key Information

The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) has announced that the application process for the upcoming Joint Entrance Examination - Advanced (JEE Advanced 2024) is set to commence on April 21, 2024.Prospective candidates can find the comprehensive information bulletin on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in.

One notable update is the increase in the JEE Advanced 2024 application fee across all categories, except for non-SAARC candidates, who will benefit from a reduced fee of 100 US dollars, as per the latest information bulletin released by the seven zonal coordinating IITs under the Joint Admission Board 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Being among the top 2,50,000 candidates in JEE Main 2024.
  • Birth on or after October 1, 1999, with age relaxation for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
  • Maximum of two attempts in two consecutive years.
  • Class 12 exam appearance in 2023 or 2024 with compulsory subjects.
  • Ineligibility for students who appeared for the first time in 2022 or earlier.

As per the schedule, the examination is slated for May 26, 2024. The performance in JEE Advanced 2024 will serve as the basis for admission to various programmes across IITs and other centrally funded institutes. These institutes include the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), and Indian Institute of Petroleum & Energy (IIPE).
