What can be better than beginning your day with a hot bhanr of steaming tea? Tushar Sinha, a student of computer science in KIIT, is a regular at Atmaram Chowk, "From as early as 5.30 in the morning, Atmaram Chowk is crowded with students till around 8am!" This place might not serve the best tea in town, but it has become THE place to visit in the morning. You'll find every second engineering student here, using tea as a stress buster!

Place: Kuna Bhai's Dahi Bara Aloo Dum, in front of KIIT campus, Patia

This small stall is a favourite with students and office-goers. A half-plate of Kuna Bhai's dahi bara aloo dum as breakfast is definitely the most delicious start to a foodie's day. "The sumptuous aloo dum clubbed with the salted dahi bara is my favourite meal before college. The craving for this spicy stuff draws me here almost every other morning," says Veerangana Dash, a student of KIIT University.

Amit Mohanty, an engineering student at the Institute of Technical and Educational Research, Bhubaneswar, feels that the magical sodas here are the perfect way to quench your thirst and also digest a heavy meal. "In the scorching summer, Himalaya sodas appear heavenly! After a heavy breakfast at home, a glass of soda near Infocity campus makes me feel lighter. It makes it easier to focus on tough lectures," says Mohanty.

This little joint serves happiness in the form of classic Odia cuisine. Anuchhanda Mitra, studying at R.D. Women's College, loves having lunch here. "The full meal costs just 40 bucks! It's filling as well as tasty," says a happy Mitra. At times she goes for extra dishes from the hotel menu, but what she really likes is it tastes just like homemade food. And she isn't the only one.

Place: Lingaraj Lassi Sarbat, beside Saheed Nagar durga mandap

The noon adda with friends and classmates of Akshay Patel, a student of Gandhi group of institutions, happens to be at Lingaraj Lassi Sarbat. He says that the topping made of cherries, rabdi and coconut shreds feels amazing as you take a sip in the cool breeze. He discusses work, studies and muses over political ideologies over a glass of lassi.

A spicy plate of chaat here offers Asutosh Nanda a feeling of 'foodgasm'. The MBA student of Xavier's University, Bhubaneswar, can't live without this snack. "I am the sort of person who lives to eat and does not eat to live. Good food is my mood enhancer. Whenever I feel low, a plate of chaat makes me feel good in a couple of minutes". Food lovers of Bhubaneswar, do you agree with him?

After a yumilicious food trail, a slice of sweet happiness, called chhena poda, awaits you. The lingering taste of burnt cottage cheese, paired with the sweetness of sugar syrup, makes this the showstopper dessert of Odia cuisine.
