Calcutta, Sept. 25: City-based IT company Indus Net Technologies and Tax Mantra - a tax solutions provider - have recently launched an online tax return preparation and filing software known as Makeyourtax.com.

"The software has been designed to provide a host of value-added services such as assisted tax filing, especially for beginners or for any taxpayer who is oblivious of the return regulations," said Abhishek Rungta, CEO of Indus Net Technologies, here today.

The introductory price for subscribers is Rs 99 per month, while the annual subscription charge is Rs 6,500 plus taxes for chartered accountants.

"We are targeting chartered accountants and taxpayers as customers and trying to promote and distribute our software through tax consultants," Rungta said.

The website uses the Amazon Web Services cloud to store taxpayer data.

"We are expecting around 100,000 returns to be prepared and filed using our system by March 2016," said Alok Patnia, founder and CEO of Tax Mantra.
