WI fight back after jitters

St George’s: Opener Anamul Haque’s fighting 109 helped Bangladesh put on 217 for nine on the board in the first one-dayer against the West Indies, on Wednesday.

The Bangladeshi batsmen never really found the right rhythm, but 21-year-old Anamul was a glorious exception. He registered his third ODI hundred and hit 11 boundaries and a six in his 138-ball innings.

Sunil Narine, who gave away just 2.9 runs per over, was easily their most threatening bowler.
