Students were made aware of their school’s tradition. While one institution celebrated its silver jubilee, youngsters at another displayed their talents with mehndi designs. Smita Kumar catches the action

Event: Silver jubilee curtain raiser

Duration: Around three hours

Special attraction: Musicians Vipin Kumar Mishra and Siddhi Shankar played damru and other instruments. School principal D.K. Ghosh said: “In 25 years of the institution, the school has not only earned name and fame in Patna but all over Bihar.” He also spoke of his desire to make the school better in the coming days.

Event: Mehndi design competition

Duration: Around an hour

Special attraction: The competition was held in two categories — juniors and seniors. In the junior category, Nandani Patel and Komal Raj bagged the first and second prize, respectively. The third prize went to Mridula Deep. The senior category saw Isha Kumari emerge winner. Riddhima Raj got the second prize, while the third prize went to Amisha Patel. School director Ambrose Patrick gave away the prizes.
