Mumbai: Indian Super League (ISL) franchise FC Pune City have signed up former Juventus striker and France’s World Cup winner David Trezeguet as their marquee player.
“Trezeguet will be our marquee player. He is the third highest French goalscorer behind Thierry Henry and Michel Platini. He will be the team’s spearhead and we expect him to lead us to the title,” team’s CEO Gaurav Modwel said, here, on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Delhi Dynamos FC named Harm van Veldhoven as their manager. Harm started his career as a striker on the football field and his tryst with coaching started in 1999 with FC Lommel, a renowned second division club in Belgium. He took over as manager in 2000, achieving promotion in 2002 by winning the Belgium Second Division Championship. (Agencies)
