Apurvi Chandela of India, who won gold in the 10m air rifle event, is flanked by compatriot Ayonika Paul and Nur Suryani Mohamed Taibi of Malaysia, in Glasgow, on Saturday. While Paul bagged the silver, Taibi picked up the bronze. The 21-year-old Chandela led from the beginning to win the gold with a score of 206.7 while Paul finished a creditable second with 204.9. In the 25m pistol, Rahi Sarnobat won India’s second gold of the day while Anisa Sayyed took silver. Earlier, Prakash Nanjappa bagged silver medal in the 10m air pistol to take India’s tally at the shooting range on Saturday to a total of five. (AFP)
