Goalpara school in last four

Guwahati, July 21: Kalyanpara High School of Goalpara stormed into the semi-finals of the Dewkon Trophy Under-17 Inter-district School Football Tournament, defeating Borgaon Higher Secondary School of Tinsukia 4-0 at Nehru Stadium here today.

Jyotikamal Bonai scored for the Goalpara side in the third minute while Swaroop Rabha struck twice in the 12th and 46th minutes respectively followed by a goal by Biswajit Rabha in the 58th minute.

Betkuchi High School of Kamrup Metro sealed their place in the semi-finals, defeating Mahamara Dipling Higher Secondary School of Sivasagar 2-0.

In the third quarter-final, Goreswar Higher Secondary School of Baksa registered a 2-1 victory over BVCS Higher Secondary School of Dibrugarh.

Barhampur SSI Higher Secondary School of Nagaon beat Bhakatpara Higher Secondary School of Darang 3-0 in the fourth quarter-final.
