Centre & school pat for girl

The Centre has congratulated 18-year-old Motihari girl Harsha Kumari for her “wonderful performance” in the CBSE Class XII examinations this year.

Harsha secured first rank in fine arts, an optional subject for the Plus Two examination of Central Board of Secondary Education this year. Now, she is in Kota preparing for IIT entrance test.

Union human resource development minister Smriti Irani sent Harsha a letter, congratulating her for the performance and for making her parents, school and the country proud.

Dated June 2, the letter was sent to her alma mater, MS Memorial School. It was handed over to the girl’s parents at a felicitation ceremony on Wednesday evening. The school chairman, C.B. Singh, also awarded Harsha a gold medal.
