If you deny them a pleasure den, this is what awaits you

The unexplained death of a lodge owner has blown the lid off an assault of his manager by a Trinamul leader who allegedly wanted a room to be set aside as his personal pleasure den. The footage, captured on CCTV in the lodge near Howrah station, shows a person bearing resemblance to Dipak Shaw, a Trinamul local leader, threatening and arm-twisting Asish Manna (also in picture on right), the manager of Bridge Lodge, and checking the occupancy register after being told there was no vacancy. The lodge’s owner, Calcutta-based Sumit Naha, had gone to the police station last week to corroborate the manager’s version and had allegedly received several threat calls since then. Naha was found lifeless in a chair on Monday morning. The cause of death is yet to be established. Till Monday night, Dipak had not been arrested. Trinamul said Dipak had been removed as ward president because of allegations of extortion.
