Sunday to play for Silchar

Hailakandi, June 3: Sunday Wagar Aiyuk of Nigeria will play for the Silchar Sporting Club in the Ramanuj Gupta Super Division football league of Silchar District Sports Association (DSA) at Satindra Mohan Dev Stadium in Silchar from June 5.

Sunday had played for Nagaonís Radial Club. According to information provided by the Assam Football Association (AFA), altogether 138 players have changed inter-district teams in the current year.

In Silchar, 24 players have changed teams. Sporting has signed seven outside players including Sunday. The other players are Rajiv Das and Govin Terong of Radial Club, Gaiham Rongmei, Md Sabir Ali and Jenga Rongmei of Green Valley and Lanjik Rongmei of Guwahati FCI.

Another Silchar team, Arunachal Sanskritik Sanstha, has signed Rinku Malakar and Aren Chetri of Karimganjís Viking Club, John Darlong and Sanga Darlong of Raktimava Club. Arunachalís John Sangate has signed for Guwahati FCI.

India Club has managed Lalremhak Hmar of Lakhipurís Raising Club, Malingir Halam of Guwahti ASEB, Lalramrel Hmar of Guwahti FCI, Thanil Singha of Gossaigaon Global Academy. Town Club has signed Sunil Saikia of Hailakandiís Blood Mouth Club.

Defending champions PHE RC of Silchar have signed Jurah Thousen and Pranay Malakar of Rajasthani Warriors of Nagaon, Indreshwar Daimary of Sanjivan Samaj, Nagaon, Mama Ralte and James Bakchuk of Blood Mouth Club, Bijoy Dey of Guwahati Rising Club, John Prakash Pikka of Dibrugarh Chaliapani Yuva Samaj and John Ekka of Maharana Athletics Club.
