2 held with coal

Bokaro, May 24: Two smugglers were arrested and around five tonnes of coal loaded on two bikes and a tractor was seized in separate cases from Badarchua forest area in Bokaro today.

Kaili Sao and Dular Chand Mandal, both hailing from Vishnugarh of Hazaribagh district, have been forwarded to Tenughat jail.

According to sources, Tesame police intercepted a tractor, illegally carrying coal, near Badarchua this morning. Though the driver fled, police seized around 4.5 tonnes of coal from the vehicle.

Later, the police nabbed Sao and Mandal, who were smuggling coal on bikes, from the same area. Five sacks of coal were recovered from them.
