Bhogen, Inao lead

Imphal, May 23: Second seed Rk. Bhogen Singh and Inao Sharma led the table with four points each in the 24th Kh. Anou Singh Memorial State Level Open Chess Tournament 2014 played at Kwakeithel, Imphal West, today.

Bhogen Singh, playing against Kishan Singh, beat the latter in 31 moves to collect full points. Inao Sharma also triumphed over Bangkim to claim the top spot in the fourth round. Top seed and defending champion S. Premjit Singh’s poor run continued as he managed yet another drawn game against Herojit Singh to share half a point, to remain at three points.
