Healthy dose of camp fun


Several kids made a splash, literally, by taking a dip in the pool, while those health conscious opted to get their check-up done. Smita Kumar reports on the fun factor that sums up summer celebrations

Event: Summer camp

Duration: Six days

Special attraction: Students beat the heat by taking part in swimming. Apart from a splash in the pool, the young ones also participated in quizzes, antakshari, tattoo-making, nail art, fashion designing, flower arrangement, ad-mad and others. To liven things up, the youngsters were taken to Water Park and Science Centre as part of educational trips.

Jesus and Mary Academy, Patna City

Event: Free medical check-up camp

Duration: Five days

Special attraction: Students and teachers got an opportunity to get a health check-up done. Many of them took tips from doctors on how to keep healthy and fit. The medicos advised the youngsters to stay off junk food and exercise. The doctors also gave tips on how they could protect themselves from the continuing heatwave in the city.
