Tom pins hopes on Shikhar, Dale

Hyderabad: Sunrisers Hyderabad coach Tom Moody seems to be depending a lot on Shikhar Dhawan and Dale Steyn to deliver the goods for Sunday’s crucial encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Speaking to the media on Saturday, Moody explained at length how his two players could play significant roles in key matches. On Dhawan, Moody said the Sunrisers captain was unlucky to get out at short fine-leg thrice.

“Shikhar is a fine batsman and batted exceptionally well in the last match. He was batting beautifully before getting out. Hopefully, he would continue his good form in the important matches,” Moody said.

In the bowling department, Moody felt South African pacer Steyn could make the difference. “He cannot be expected to lead the attack every single time, but Steyn is a world-class bowler and known for making an impact in crunch matches,” Moody emphasised.

He expressed confidence about his team’s victory against the Knight Riders, saying his team had to lose the last two matches because of slip-ups in the end.
