Latu High claim title

U-13 cricket

Hailakandi, May 13: Latu High School retained the title of the Karimganj District Sports Association inter-school under-13 football championship held at DSA ground in Karimganj.

Latu HS finished unbeaten champions after defeating Government Higher Secondary School, Karimganj by 4-0 goals in the last match yesterday in the four-team league for the Mahanta Chandra Das trophy.

The other two participating schools were Saraswati Vidyaniketan and Public High School.

Iqbal Ahmed netted a double brace ruffling the net in the seventh, 28th, 37th and 43rd minutes for the winners to be adjudged Man of the Match.

Government Higher Secondary School finished runners-up to lift the Manjura Bala Das Trophy.
