Bright Future, Kahilipara win

Guwahati, May 12: Bright Future English School and Kahilipara Higher Secondary School registered wins in their respective matches of the 10th Dhan Sena Sinha All-Assam Inter-school Prize-money Cricket Tournament at the Latasil playground here today.

Owing to early morning showers, the first match of the day between Bright Future English School and Oak Land High School had to be curtailed to a 15 over-a-side affair.

Bright Future English School registered a comfortable nine-wicket victory over Oak Land High School. Put in to bat, Oak Land batsmen could only manage 66 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their stipulated 15 overs.

In reply, Bright Future boys eased past the target losing one wicket in 6.1 overs.

In the second match of the day, Kahilipara Higher Secondary School edged past LOG Hindi High School by one wicket.

Invited to bat, LOG Hindi High School put up a total of 108 runs before being all out in 16.4 overs.

Chasing a modest total, Kahilipara boys got past the target losing nine wickets in 18.3 overs.
