Ford in fresh Endeavour

New Delhi, April 29: Ford India today launched the latest edition of its all-terrain sports utility vehicle Endeavour priced between Rs 19.84 lakh and Rs 23.06 lakh.

“The Endeavour is a trusted nameplate and holds a special place in Ford India’s product portfolio. It has remained a vehicle of choice for customers who desire a dependable, muscular, rugged, yet comfortable and safe SUV,” Ford India president Nigel Harris said.

He said the 2014 Ford Endeavour had been modified with new headlamps and fog lamps. The new front grill and bumper with skid plate has enhanced its premium appeal. The interiors have also been refurbished.

The new Endeavour is available in three variants: — 2.5-litre Duratorq TDCi 42 manual transmission, a 3-litre Duratorq TDCi 42 automatic transmission and a 3-litre Duratorq TDCi 44 automatic transmission.

The company recently unveiled the global Ford Figo Concept in India. It aims to increase its presence substantially in the B segment with the sub 4-metre concept car.

“After the success of the Figo and the EcoSport, we needed to come up with another strong product, which is what we are doing with Figo Concept,” Harris had said.

Ford expects compact car sales in India to grow from about a million units last year to 2 million units in 2018.
