Event: Earth Day

Duration: Around three hours

Special attraction: A variety of events for children of different age groups was organised. The students engaged themselves in the events with a fervour to sensitise people towards saving the environment. The students planted trees and took an oath to plant a sapling every year to preserve ecology. Children of classes I to V made post cards, while those in classes VI to IX recycled newspapers and waste material. Principal Shahina Khan said the children showed a good approach and elders should also learn from them.

Duration: More than two-and-a-half hours

Special attraction: Kids performed to different songs at the event. The track, which drew the heartiest applause from the crowd, was Lungi dance. The kids thoroughly enjoyed performing to the track. Apart from the welcome song, the children also performed to songs like Tin Ta Ta and Lakdi ki kathi. Principal Puja Agrawal said the young ones should be given such opportunities to help fight their stage fright. She added that it was important for parents to motivate their children to take part in such events.
