Leo likely to play Jobs in biopic

New York, April 22 (PTI): Leonardo DiCaprio has reportedly been roped in to play Steve Jobs for director Danny Boyle’s untitled biopic about the Apple co-founder.

DiCaprio, 39, has been approached by Boyle, who is in negotiations to replace David Fincher as director.

Fincher was previously linked to directing the film with rumours that he wanted Christian Bale to play Steve Jobs, reports the Huffington Post website.

The movie is expected to focus on the launch of Apple’s original Macintosh computer (1984), NeXT Cube (1990) and original iPod (2001). It is said to be produced by Scott Rudin and is based on the biography of Jobs by Walter Isaacson.
