Dhubri tame Silchar

Guwahati, April 21: Dhubri clinched a 79-run victory against Silchar in a match of the second Umananda Bora Trophy inter-district under-13 cricket tournament at Barsapara Cricket Stadium here today.

Dhubri rode a half-century by Kausar Ansari to post 189 all out in 36.2 overs. The Silchar boys, however, could not defend the total in the scorching heat to be all out for 110 in 30.5 overs.

Ansari topscored for Dhubri with 58. Iqbal Hussain Laskar and Sudarshan Sinha of Silchar bagged three wickets each. For Silchar, Aniruddha Das topscored with 15 runs. Dhubri’s Kaushik Rajak bagged three wickets.
