CSK sets up office

IPL franchisee Chennai Super Kings (CSK) started setting up its office at JSCA stadium in Dhurwa on Sunday in view of its two matches in Ranchi on May 2 and 13.

JSCA sources said the franchisee was holding talks with bookmyshow, a the ticketing agent, and rates were likely to be announced on Monday. CSK will take on Kolkata Knight Riders on May 2.

JSCA sources further said that ticket prices could be slashed this year. “Last year, prices ranged from Rs 700 to Rs 9,000. This time one of the matches, might see a drastic dip in the starting rates,” said a source.

Officials maintained that while the CSK players will arrive in Ranchi on April 30, KKR is yet to confirm its itinerary. CSK will lock horns with Rajasthan Royals on May 13 at Ranchi.
