Calcutta: Delhi DareDevils, coming into the IPL VII with a revamped squad, failed to impress in their first match. With their top order collapsing and then their bowlers unable to match up, they suffered a heavy loss against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday.

Delhi DareDevils all-rounder Laxmi Ratan Shukla, however, felt his side had an off day on the field during that eight-wicket loss. He is hopeful of making a comeback,

“Murali Vijay, Dinesh Karthik and Manoj Tiwary had an off day on Thursday and we fell short by close to 25 runs. We did lose the first match, but we played some good cricket. I hope we come back in a strong way,” Shukla said.
