Morne is grateful to Horn

Calcutta: Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his men had significant gains following Mike Horn’s pep talk. The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), too, would hope for the same after having roped in the renowned adventurer and explorer for a short stint at the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

From Morne Morkel and Ryan ten Doechate to the Manish Pandeys and Suryakumar Yadavs, Horn seems to have had a lasting impression on each and everyone of them. Of everyone, it’s Morkel who seems to be overwhelmed when Horn was around.

“Mike changed my life in different ways, many ways to be precise. His positive attitude towards life is something we need as cricketers because we go through tough times almost every day both on and off the field. So, being part of KKR, we need to follow the legacy he left behind and the path that he set out for us,” Morne emphasised.

The Knight Riders would definitely hope for a performance worth significance from the inspired Morne, who hasn’t been having a great time of late for South Africa

For Dutchman Ten Doeschate, Horn is like a real life Indiana Jones. “He’s an inspirational bloke. He is more like a real life Indiana Jones.”

“Mike defines inspiration. He pushes his body and mind to the limit… He’s definitely something special,” said Robin Uthappa.
