Blast on tracks

Bhagalpur, April 14: Maoists allegedly targeted a goods train near the outer cabin of Lakhisarai station by planting a detonator on Sunday evening.

Some parts of the Patna-bound train and the Down tracks of the main section were damaged in the blast, resulting in disruption of trains for a few hours. A CRPF officer said: “The rebels had actually targeted some passenger trains, which were scheduled to pass through the Up and Down tracks.” Six trains were held up at the different stations along the route.
