- Lalpur campus abuzz with fun games

Ranchi, April 5: Aspiring techies of BIT-Mesra’s Lalpur extension today took a break from their busy academic schedule and beat the sweltering heat by taking part in fun games organised as part of a cultural event, Debonair.

Students pursuing MBA, MCA and BBA participated in innovative contests like Match the Stars, Pick the Peas and Burning the Candle.

In Match The Stars, which was similar to Housie, the contestants were given tickets with names of Bollywood and Indian cricket stars. One by one, participants had to pick chits from a bowl and mark off the names of Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bacchan, Virat Kohli and so on.

“This event helped me assess my knowledge in films and cricket,” said Prakhar Anand, a third-year BBA student.

In Pick the Peas, students had to use a pipe to suck peas from a bowl and put it in another. “Those who could put the maximum number of peas into the empty bowl were declared winners,” said Shubhum Agarwal, media in-charge of the cradle’s debating society.

In the third event, participants, in groups of four, had to light as many candles as possible with a single matchstick.

These apart, a quiz was organised which saw students rack their brains on questions on myriad topics like brand names of perfumes, cards and toothpaste.
