SA women in semis

Calcutta: South Africa romped into the semi-finals of the Women’s World T20, beating New Zealand by five wickets in Monday’s Group A match, in Sylhet.

Batting first, New Zealand were restricted to a modest 114 for eight with Marizanne Kapp taking three wickets for South Africa.

Dane van Niekerk took two. Sophie Devine came up with some sort of resistance for New Zealand, scoring 40 off 43 balls.

In another match, Pakistan defeated Ireland by 14 runs.
