Pakistan shot out for just 71

Fatullah: Asia Cup finalists Pakistan suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of South Africa, in a World T20 warm-up match, on Wednesday.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat, but their batsmen fell face flat as they were bowled out for just 71, in 17.3 overs.

Chasing the paltry target, South Africa reached home with six overs to spare.

Pakistan couldn’t tackle Proteas’ pace attack. Umar Akmal, with 17, was the highest scorer for the team while Ahmed Shehzad (12) and Shoaib Maqsood (15) were the only other batsmen who managed double-figure scores.

For South Africa, Lonwobe Tsotsobe, Beuran Hendricks and Wayne Parnell took two wickets each.
