Ataur Rehman, 45, a teacher of a Navodaya Vidyalaya in Cherrapunjee in Assam, and Arun Gopal, 49, who was reportedly from Nepal, were admitted to the Malda Medical College and Hospital. Doctors said the duo were out of danger.

Rehman, who had regained consciousness for a while at the medical college said, he had fallen asleep after taking tea and pakoras offered by some co-passengers. Both Rehman and Gopal were robbed of their mobile phones and wallets. Firoza Banu, Ataur Rehmanís wife, said she had received a call from an unknown person from her husbandís mobile phone at 7am, asking for the PIN number for his ATM card.
