House session

Shillong, March 6: The budget session of the Meghalaya Assembly, beginning tomorrow, has been truncated following the announcement of Lok Sabha polls yesterday.

According to the revised calendar, the session will conclude on March 19. It will have eight working days — five days of government business and three days for private members’ business.

Governor Krishan Kant Paul will deliver his address tomorrow at 10am. The Assembly will also reserve passing the budget during the session and only a vote-on-account will be approved. The members will again re-assemble after the Lok Sabha polls.
