BJP entrants

Guwahati, Feb. 27: Popular Assamese singer Jitul Sonowal was among 24 people who joined the BJP today.

They joined the party in the presence of BJP state president Sarbananda Sonowal at a function held at the party’s state head office here at Hengrabari this morning.

Among prominent members who joined the BJP today were former Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) leader and journalist Adip Kumar Phukan, senior lawyer Ram Chandra Saikia, former MLA Bhogeswar Patir and executive member of AGP, Arun Pathak.
