Sharjah: Justin Dill and Aiden Markram combined to guide South Africa to a thumping nine-wicket win over Afghanistan to advance to the semi-finals of the Under-19 World Cup, at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, here, on Sunday.
In the other quarter final tie, in Dubai, Nicolas Pooran’s 143 went in vain as Australia defeated West Indies by five wickets in pursuit of a modest 208 with 20 balls to spare.
