Perera sizzles

Mirpur: Kusal Perera hit a brilliant century to help Sri Lanka register a 3-0 series sweep against Bangladesh, as they beat the hosts by six wickets in the third ODI, here, on Saturday.

Kusal scored 106 off 124 balls, hitting six boundaries and five sixes. Wicket-keeper Dinesh Chandimal also scored a handy 64 off 70 balls (4x4) to help Sri Lanka chase a 241-run target.

Earlier, Dhammika Prasad enjoyed a pleasant return to ODI cricket as his three wickets enabled the visitors to limit Bangladesh to 240.

Captain Angelo Mathews also rotated his bowlers cleverly and kept up the pressure.
