Samayik Prasanga, BVEMA take lead

Hailakandi, Feb. 13: Barak Valley Electronic Media Association and Samayik Prasanga registered wins in their respective league matches of the second Media Cricket Fest of Barak Upatyaka Krira Sambadik Santha at Satindra Mohan Dev Stadium in Silchar today.

While BVEMA handed a 37-run defeat to Nababarta Prasanga of Karimganj, Samayik Prasanga defeated Prantojyoti-BTN by 30 runs.

In the first match, BVEMA elected to bat and scored 129 for seven in the stipulated 15 overs.

In reply, Nababarta Prasanga were restricted to 92 for eight in the 15 overs.

Suman Goswami was adjudged Man of the Match.

In the other match, Samyik Prasanga batted first and scored 123 for eight in the 15 overs.

In reply, Prantojyoti-BTN were restricted to 93 for seven. Taher Ahmed took three wickets for eight runs to be named Man of the Match.
