Bodo MP lesson

New Delhi, Feb. 13: An Assam MP demanding the state’s bifurcation for a separate Bodoland has said he will never create mayhem of the kind that rocked Parliament today over Telangana.

Sansuma Bwiswmuthiary vowed to keep raising the Bodoland issue in Parliament but not in the way of some anti-Telangana MPs who ran amok in the House.

“I have always raised the issue and I am going to raise my voice again. But I am not going to do what happened today. We are civilised and humble,” said the Bodoland People’s Front MP from Kokrajhar.

In the past, Bwiswmuthiary has often held up proceedings to press his demands for Bodoland.

Bodo groups intensified their movement since the plan for Telangana was cleared in July last year.

The Union home ministry has “invited” the All Bodo Students Union for a meeting on February 21.
