Nitish push for third front

New Delhi, Feb. 10: Nitish Kumar today held an “informal” meeting with Left leaders at the residence of JD(S) chief Deve Gowda to discuss a possible third front but CPM leader Sitaram Yechury said such a formation would take shape only after the general polls, reports our special correspondent.

The Bihar chief minister termed the breakfast meeting with CPM general secretary Prakash Karat and other Left leaders an “informal” interaction and said a formal meeting would take place soon.

Nitish was in the capital to participate in an official function.

“We just discussed how to take this forward. Since Nitish Kumar is in Delhi we got the opportunity to discuss directly with him. We are working out about how to take it forward,” Karat said.
