Roof falls on man

Residents blocked the Bikramgunj-Dumraon route to demand compensation for the kin of a man who died when the roof of his house collapsed after a tree fell on it on Sunday.

Shyam Bihari (40), was a resident of Sughardera village of the district. His three children also received injuries in the incident.

Sub-divisional police officer R.K. Gupta confirmed the report of the incident.

Residents set up the road blockade to protest against the incident.

The body of the deceased was sent to Sadar hospital and the children rushed to Dumraon sub-divisional hospital.
