Pratidin enter last four

Guwahati, Jan. 28: Asomiya Pratidin sealed their semi-final berth, sailing past opponent Prag News by 37 runs in the fourth quarter-final of the Media Cricket Tournament at Judges Field here today.

Invited to bat, Asomiya Pratidin put up a competitive total of 155 runs for the loss of six wickets in their stipulated 20 overs.

Tauhid Ali Talukdar topscored with 55 runs off 31 deliveries. Manit Sarma and Parthib Hazarika contributed 25 runs each.

Dhruba Kalita and Mithu Dey scalped two wickets each.

In reply, Prag News could only manage a paltry 118 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 19.4 overs.

Mriganka Sarmah scored 32 runs off 25 deliveries while Pankaj P. Bora managed to contribute 23 runs off 18 balls.

Manjit Sarmah and Amarendra Kalita scalped two wickets each.

Asomiya Pratidin will clash with DY365 in the first semi-final tomorrow.
