Decide your ally, says Sushil

Patna, Jan. 28: The BJP today dared Nitish Kumar to clarify who he is ready to align with, Narendra Modi or Rahul Gandhi, once the Lok Sabha elections are over.

Speaking on the sidelines of his weekly Janata Durbar, former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi taunted his ex-boss and said Nitish’s party would be reduced to a single-digit tally in the Lok Sabha elections.

It was, therefore, prudent for Nitish to decide beforehand who he would cling to in a post-poll scenario: Narendra Modi, the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, or Rahul, the Congress’s chief campaigner. “JD(U) is no more in the picture even in Bihar with the party unlikely to win more than two to four seats. Hence Nitish Kumar should clarify with whom he will go,” Sushil Modi said.

He even dangled a carrot for Nitish, repeating Narendra Modi’s recent statement that only a BJP-led NDA government at the Centre could grant Bihar special status and special package.

The cause is dear to Nitish and he is on record having said that his support is to anyone who can grant Bihar these privileges.
