CM guidance for civil exam

Calcutta, Jan. 25: Mamata Banerjee today said that those enrolled with the government’s Civil Services Study Centre could attend administrative meetings chaired by her in the districts and seek her help before the final stage of the selection tests.

After inaugurating the study centre for IAS, IPS and WBCS (executive) aspirants at the Administrative Training Institute in Salt Lake, the chief minister told the 31 students: “Once you reach the final level, you can send your queries to me. I work in the field and can guide you.”

Stopping her speech midway, she turned towards chief secretary Sanjay Mitra and said: “These students can attend our administrative meetings and learn about panchayats, rural development, the village scenario, how welfare schemes work and how documents are prepared.”
