Double crowns for Siddharth

Guwhati, Jan. 22: Assam boy Siddharth Chowdhury bagged double crowns in the fourth India Club AITA Championship Series tennis tournament that concluded at India Club courts here today.

He won the under-16 boys’ singles as well as doubles titles. Siddharth overcame Mingkhi Talom of Arunachal 7-5, 6-4 for the singles title. In the doubles final, Siddharth partnered Mingkhi to get the better of Assam tandem of Raunak Bora and Ankeet Kashyap 6-2, 6-3. Priyana Kalita (Assam), bagged the under-16 girls’ singles title beating Lenien Jamir 6-2, 6-3.
