Suraj crowned winner

Imphal, Oct. 28: N. Suraj was crowned Mr Kangleipak in the body-building contest organised by Manipur Amateur Body- Building Association at Asha Hall here today.

Suraj Singh, who was representing Royal Gym Ningomthong in the senior category, also walked away with the Best Poser title, fetching Rs 1,50,000.

In the junior category, Th. Dayananda Singh of Lamyanba Gym Yairipok got the overall championís title, earning Rs 50,000.

In the sub-junior category, N. Henson of Bokul Makhong Gym Maibam Leikai walked away with the title and Rs 30,000.

In the mastersí category, Suraj Thokchom of YPISM Uripok was declared the champion along with the Best Poser title, fetching him Rs 20,000.

In the disabled category, P. Premkumar Singh of Unique Gym won the title and Rs 10,000.

Altogether 62 body-builders from 22 gymnasiums took part in the competition.

Fudging: The All-India Football Federation has laid strict guidelines to minimise proxy age factors in all its age group competitions starting from its next season.

The AIFF sports medical committee meeting resolution was made available to reporters by the AMFA last Wednesday.

According to the procedure, all players have to produce original birth certificates issued by municipal authorities, registrar or by passport format issued by the Centre.

The date of registration of birth mentioned in the certificate should have been within one year of the actual date of birth of the player.
