Forgery arrest

Bhubaneswar, July 26: Police arrested two persons for forging documents while applying for their passports at the regional passport office here today.

The accused, identified as Nirakar Ojha of Berhampur and Kaluram Moharana of Kendrapara, submitted forged matriculation certificates while applying for passports. “Our officials checked the certificates and found them to be forged. We lodged a complaint at Nayapalli police station,” said regional passport officer Padma Mohanty. Later, the cops questioned the accused and found out that they had the certificates made by an agent by paying Rs 2,500 each.
