Corporate cricket

Shillong, March 21: Purple Rain Entertainment Pvt Ltd defeated MeECL by six runs to lift the inter-office-cum-corporate T20 cricket tournament of the Shillong Cricket Association at Polo Grounds here today.

Purple Rain elected to bat and were restricted to 99 for eight. In reply, MeECL were all out for 93.

Peter Anglican topscored for Purple Rain with 23. Rapbor Kharnaior of MeECL took three for 16.

MeECL lost three quick wickets but stabilised to 77 for five and sensed victory. However, the dismissal of set batsman Sany F. Swer was named Man of the Tournament.
