A college V-Day bash with a difference

Tomatoes, tattoos, T-shirt painting and a lot more marked the most romantic day of the year for INIFD-ians. The Valentine’s Day Bash organised by the Inter National Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) on February 14 was not just a celebration of love for the present students but also a homing call to all the students who have graduated from the Lindsay Street institute. The day marked the institute’s very first reunion and alumni meet. What added a special touch was the institute’s endeavour to reach out to children in need. “We held a T-shirt painting competition on the theme of Love. The T-shirts would be eventually donated to the underprivileged children of Kolkata Anath Ashram at Duff Street,” said Subir Sarkar, the centre head.

The busy day was wrapped up with The Valentine Ball and the much-awaited declaration of Mr and Miss Valentine, which went to the boy and girl who were able to win the maximum number of ribbons and hearts respectively from the opposite sex. Quite a task, we say!
