Mumbai airport fee hike

Mumbai, Jan. 16: The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority today approved a 154 per cent rise in development fee for passengers flying from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. The new tariff will come into effect from February 1. Passengers will have to pay Rs 346 (domestic) and Rs 692 (international) as development fee from February 1 to March 31, 2013.

Takeover code

Mumbai, Jan. 16: Market regulator Sebi is planning to come up with a revised set of takeover code regulations for which it has already started the process. The regulator had earlier said it would take a relook at the implementation of the revised takeover code. “Hopefully, in a couple of months or in the near future, we will be making further progress,” Sebi chairman U.K. Sinha said.

IKEA proposal

New Delhi, Jan. 16: Swedish furniture major IKEA’s proposal for setting up cafeterias at its retail outlets could be taken up in the next FIPB meeting, which is likely to be held on January 21.

Nokia auditors

Chennai, Jan. 16: Senior officials of PricewaterhouseCoopers, auditors for Nokia India, today appeared before the income tax department (investigation) and were questioned abut the alleged tax default by the Finnish handset maker’s plant here, IT sources said.

Mumbai, Jan. 16: DSK Hyosung today launched two super bikes — Aquila Pro (650cc) and GT650R-2013 edition — at Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and Rs 4.79 lakh (ex-Delhi), respectively.
