Almaty, Dec. 25 (Reuters): A military transport plane crashed in southern Kazakhstan today, killing all 27 people on board, the RIA news agency quoted a senior Kazakh emergencies ministry official as saying.
“The plane has burnt up, only some of its fragments remain,” RIA quoted the head of the regional emergencies department as saying.
Kazakh TV channel KTK said the plane had disappeared from radar screens at 1300 GMT as it was making a descent near the city of Shymken.

Yangon (Reuters): Two persons were killed and 10 wounded in northeast Myanmar on Tuesday when a passenger plane missed an airport runway in heavy fog and landed in a rice paddy, state television said. The pilot of the Air Bagan plane touched down beyond Heho airport in Shan state, killing one passenger and a motorcyclist on the ground, MRTV said.
