Surmila, Manjit hit bullseye

Imphal, Nov. 27: A. Surmila of SAI won four gold medals in the 23rd senior state-level archery championship, which began at the Khuman Lampak sports complex today. It has been organised by the Manipur Amateur Archery Association.

Surmila won the gold in the 70, 60, 50 and 30-metre womenís recurve competition. In the 70-metre competition, G.A. Manju of Yaiskul Athletics secured the silver and A. Shimla of Vasco Archery Academy won the bronze.

In the menís recurve 90-metre competition, A. Manjit of Grace Archery Academy won the gold, H. Bidyajit of Assam Rifles Archery Club claimed the silver and Th. Sanatomba of Assam Rifles got the bronze.

In the 70-metre competition, N. Subhaschandra of Assam Rifles won the gold, S. Premkumar of SAI won the silver and Kh. Sureshbabu of South Imphal Centre for Archery won the bronze.

In the 50-metre event, Y. Bishorjit of Grace won the gold, Sanatomba got the silver and Subhaschandra won the bronze.

In the 30-metre event, Subhaschandra won the gold, Sanatomba the silver and Premkumar the bronze.
